B&B Addauru - Palermo

Our Bed & Breakfast (classified 3 stars) is made up of bright and spacious rooms (with vaulted ceilings), beautifully decorated - provided with all necessary amenities, with french windows (properly insulated with thermo-acoustic point of view ) and a balcony directly overlooking the famous Alloro street - part of a spacious apartment on the first floor (noble) from the ancient "Bonifacio Palace" (recently renovated), which is located in Palermo in the said street, with entrance from the alley San Gabriele n.4. It is therefore, located in Old Town, the heart of one of the 4 districts that comprise it, namely the "Court" (outlined by Maqueda street, to corso Vittorio Emanuele, Lincoln street and the Foro Italico).

It is also accessible by car, from the Foro Italico (Umberto I) - whose entrance is marked by the unmistakable “Palchetto della Musica-Little Platform of Music (neo-classical style) and by the belted wall of the Butera palace, called “Passeggiata delle Cattive” (Walk of the Prisoners) - or from the famous "Marina" (Garibaldi) square.

Going along Alloro street, it is possible to admire the Square of "Kalsa" (Arabic name with which it was originally given to the whole neighborhood), the church of St Teresa and that of the "Gancia" (S. Maria degli Angeli), Abatellis palace (now a museum). In the streets nearby are also, Chiaramonte palace said "The Steri (Hosterium Magnum), De Seta palace and most beautiful palaces in Palermo of the eighteenth century: the Butera, Mirto Bonagia castle, the Bonanno, the Naselli d‘Aragona (Hotel Patria). The street ends in the square above the Vespers Cross square (Piazza Croce dei Vespri”), where the following buildings stand out, Valguarnera-Ganci, the Lucchese Campofranco, the palace (of the 15 th century) Bonet, incorporated in the former convent of St. Anna, which now houses the Gallery of Modern Art and the Church of St. Anne.

Adjacent to the old Arab quarter there is the Jewish Quarter of "Lattarini" where we can see, among other things, the scene of S. Cecilia. In the immediate vicinity of our accommodation, we also find the Magione square, named after the Norman church of SS. Trinita “Holy Trinity” or Magione and the theater Garibaldi, the complex of St. Maria dello Spasimo, Revolution Square (home to the famous Fontana del Genio di Palermo") and buildings: Naselli Flores, Scavuzzo, Burgio di Villafiorita and Ajutami Cristo and again, the church of S. Francis of Assisi, the Oratory of the Immaculate Conception and the S. Lorenzo, the church of St. Mary della Catena, la Porta Felice “the door of happiness” and Porta dei Greci “door of the Greeks“.

Easily reachable on foot are: the Villa Giulia (public park), the Botanical Garden, the market for "Vucciria" and "Ballarò", the Teatro Biondo, Massimo and Politeama Garibaldi, the Quattro Canti and the square of “Vergogna-Shame” (Pretoria ) with famous fountain, palace of the Eagles (town hall), Church of "Martorana", that of St. Dominic's Cathedral, Royal Palace, the Archaeological Museum A. Salinas and many other historical sites, artistic, cultural, social, entertainment, leisure and recreation.

Moreover, the B & B is just a few steps from Roma street and also from the central railway station, which is also the central terminal for city buses and suburban buses (linking regional and national) and is located a few hundred yards from the small marina "Cala"and the Port of Palermo.

It is ideal for business stays, educational studies, vacation and relaxation, given the proximity to the industrial and commercial center of the city with certain places in university faculties, with a lot of inns, pubs and theaters (also in the district), where you can taste the specialties of Sicilian cuisine and wines, good music and watching the shows, including folk, all immersed in a strange and pleasing dimension of relaxation, since the vehicular traffic on the Alloro (Laurel) street and nearby streets is very limited .
